Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
This policy explains how Daily Gain handles information when you visit dailygaintracker.com or use the app. For questions or privacy requests, contact dailygaintracker@gmail.com.
1. Information you provide
Account information: Your email address, authentication information, and account identifier. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is not sent to PostHog.
Fitness information: The profile details, age, height, weight, goals, workout plans, exercise records, food logs, and nutrition targets you enter. Some of this information may be sensitive. We use it to provide the tracking and planning features you choose.
Billing and support: Subscription status, billing identifiers, and information you provide when contacting support or submitting feedback. Stripe processes payment details; Daily Gain does not receive your full payment card number.
Coaching information: Your inquiries, goals, training experience, availability, progress updates, and other information you choose to share in coaching messages or calls. Josiah may keep notes about your plan, check-ins, and agreed adjustments. We also store the version and date of your coaching enrollment acknowledgment with your account, including your confirmation that you are an adult and have arranged a coaching place and start date.
Public testimonials: If you submit a testimonial and agree to publication, your chosen display name, testimonial, and app or coaching category appear publicly. Your account email and account identifier are not included in the public testimonial. The Daily Gain owner can remove submissions. Account deletion also removes your testimonial.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, save and display your records, provide plan features, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems, and understand how the app is used. Creating an account does not enroll you in a marketing email list.
3. PostHog analytics and account emails
We use PostHog, with US hosting, for website and product analytics. When analytics is enabled, we record page visits, selected referral campaign labels, and events such as starting signup, completing signup, finishing setup, completing a workout, using food or weight logging, and opening subscription options.
Before sign-in, events use a random browser identifier stored in local storage. When you sign in or create an account, we send your account ID and email address to PostHog. This links your visits and product events to your account, including activity from before sign-in on the same browser. It helps us measure conversion and returning use. We reset the browser analytics identity when you sign out.
We do not send PostHog workout names, exercises, reps, lifting weights, body measurements, food entries, calorie or protein values, goals, passwords, or form contents. Session recording, automatic click capture, heatmaps, and automatic error capture are disabled. We send route categories rather than individual record IDs, and exclude URL query strings and fragments. Selected campaign labels and the referring website domain may be included.
PostHog may receive basic browser, device, and session information. IP-based geolocation enrichment is disabled; like other internet services, PostHog receives the network IP address needed to handle a request. See PostHog's privacy policy.
You can turn analytics off for this browser below. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Disabling analytics stops future collection from this browser; it does not delete previously collected records. Your app account and saved fitness data remain usable.
Usage analytics is on.
4. Service providers and sharing
We use Supabase for authentication and app data storage, Vercel for hosting and server functions, Stripe for payments and subscription management, and PostHog for the analytics described above. If you choose to open our feedback form, Google processes the information you submit there. Services may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
We do not sell your personal information or share your fitness records for targeted advertising. We do not automatically send your app fitness logs to Meta/Facebook. If you choose to send fitness information through Messenger, Meta processes those messages as described below. We may disclose information when needed to meet legal obligations, protect users and the service, or respond to a valid legal request.
Optional coach sharing: You can consent to share progress through the separate checkbox during enrollment or later in Account → Coach sharing. If you opt in during enrollment, your account connects to Josiah automatically after payment completes and your accountability membership activates. Sharing allows his coaching account to view and edit your goals, nutrition targets, body details, weekly workout routine, food entries, weight logs, water totals, and saved workout details and sets. This includes moving workout days and correcting saved records. Opening a connection link does not share your data automatically. Billing details remain unavailable through the coaching view. You can stop sharing in Account at any time. This ends future access through the app; it cannot erase information your coach has already seen or saved separately.
4a. Accountability support communications and your choices
The Fitness Accountability Partner membership is the service also called coaching or Pro+ in app sharing controls and older billing records. Josiah uses information you provide to discuss whether this support fits, create and explain your plan, review your reported progress, respond to questions, and coordinate check-ins. Share only information relevant to those purposes. You do not need to send medical records, diagnoses, passwords, or payment card details through Messenger.
Facebook Messenger is operated by Meta and is separate from Daily Gain’s app storage. When you choose to message Daily Gain, Meta receives the information you send and handles it under its own terms and privacy policy. Phone calls and email use the providers you and Josiah choose. These communications are not a clinical record system. We do not record coaching calls without first telling you and obtaining any legally required consent.
App progress sharing is optional and requires a separate opt-in, even if you purchase coaching or agree to the coaching Terms. The enrollment sharing checkbox is unchecked by default. Payment alone does not authorize sharing. Your sharing choice and consent time are saved in server-controlled account metadata with Supabase. Stopping sharing also withdraws any pending enrollment sharing permission, so later billing updates do not reconnect you. Canceling billing and stopping sharing are separate actions. Records already discussed, copied, or included in coaching notes are not erased by switching sharing off.
Enrollment acknowledgments are stored in server-controlled account metadata with Supabase, separately from analytics and app progress-sharing consent. Josiah’s coaching view does not expose those records. We use them to document the service terms you acknowledged and address service disputes. Coaching message contents, notes, and enrollment acknowledgment details are not sent to PostHog.
We do not publish private coaching messages, photos, progress records, or call notes as testimonials or promotional material without your separate permission. Submitting a public testimonial authorizes publication of that submission only, as described above.
5. Browser storage and security
The app uses browser storage for sign-in sessions, preferences, and workout or food drafts, and may cache app files to support installation and loading. Optional analytics uses separate browser storage. Signing out of a shared device helps protect your account.
We use access controls and encrypted connections to help protect information. No service or transmission method is completely secure. Do not send passwords or payment card details to our support address.
6. Retention, access, and deletion
We retain app information while needed to provide your account and features. A plan's visible history window is an access limit, not a promise that older records have been deleted.
You can correct supported records in the app and request account deletion under Account → Account actions. The deletion flow removes app account data and cancels an active subscription, as explained before you confirm. Some billing, security, backup, or legal records may need to be retained for their applicable purposes.
PostHog analytics records are managed separately from app records. To request access, correction, or deletion of analytics associated with your email, or to make another privacy request, contact dailygaintracker@gmail.com. We may verify your identity before acting. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law; we do not require you to provide your password.
Coaching messages and notes outside the app are also managed separately. We retain them only as long as reasonably needed to deliver coaching, follow up on an inquiry, or meet legitimate billing, dispute, security, or legal obligations. Deleting your app account removes the acknowledgment stored with that account, but does not automatically delete Messenger conversations or separately kept coaching notes. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we control; retention exceptions may apply. For information held independently by Meta or another communication provider, use that provider’s privacy controls as well.
7. Children
Daily Gain is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate. Other age and parental permission requirements are described in the Terms.
8. Policy updates and contact
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide notice and obtain consent where required before applying that change.
